August 15th - Presentation on the Open Community Camp A week of camping, hacking and social gatherings in the Netherlands - roughly between Amsterdam and the Hague, near Schiphol aiport and the town of Leiden at an easily reached outdoor site. February 16th - The first c,mm,n garage The c,mm,n garage is a gettogether where everybody who is interested can join in on a brainstorming session and start creating a c,mm,n future image of our mobility. If you are interested, join in and think about open-source, mobility, cars and so on.

What is c,mm,n?
c,mm,n is mobility concept; a new way of developing, manufacturing and using cars. By making the blueprint of c,mm,n publicly available under an open-source licence we are able to develop truly sustainable mobility. Just like open-source software, c,mm,n focuses on services around the product. You can use c,mm,n to offer people a lease car, rental car or other mobility services. It is allowed to sell c,mm,n too. Just as long as you make any derived work publicly available again.
c,mm,n is currently in a concept stage. This means that there is a general view on the car, services and possible partners. Actual blueprints do not yet exist. Currently three non-working show models were built to communicate the concept. The aim is to develop a proof-of-concept car, to be demonstrated preferably at the Dutch biannual motorshow (AutoRAI) in 2009.

c,mm,n Foundation
The c,mm,n foundation is under development. It is a legal organization which will mainly exist to support the COPL; the c,mm,n open product licence. You are free to add your contributions to this development process.
So what can I do?
We're developing this wiki so anyone who wants to can contribute to c,mm,n. Whether you are professionally or otherwise interested in helping out, your input, ideas, money and help is very much appreciated! Here's some of the things you can do:
